It is a beautiful world, and one of the things that makes it so beautiful is how each one of us are different and unique. Think how dull and boring the world would be if everyone was the exact same. This category attempts to identify the different characteristics and traits that some people find attractive among the opposite sex.
It is disappointing that one of those characteristic that is often downplayed as being important in life is that of the inner beauty that resides in all people waiting for fulfillment. And what are those elements of inner beauty?
Perhaps they are: the honesty of always telling the truth to a loved one; the kindness that exists to help a stranger in need; the ear and time to listen to a troubled friend; the fearlessness to take on daunting challenges; the patience to wait out until a trying situation passes; the open mindedness to admit mistakes and courage to own-up to responsibilities; and the resiliency to bounce back from mistakes and failures.
Perhaps they are: the reliability to be there when people are in a time of need; the ability to bring happiness and joy to a person who's eyes are filled with tears; the consideration of thinking of someone when they are not in the room; and the altruism of placing others needs before one's self.
To see one's inner beauty one must strip away the superficiality put forth by Hollywood and Wall Street. To see one's inner beauty one must realize that there is much more to people than self sexual gratification, aesthetics appearance, social status, and excessive materialism. To see one's inner beauty one must go beyond seeing people as objects to be used and to let one's heart and soul guide them.
Is "real beauty" only available and restricted to those people with perfect faces and bodies? Or is "real beauty" available to everyone?
